The district has 4 ambulances and 1 first response vehicle. There are 2 ambulances covering the streets. The district office building is in Savannah that the District operates and responds to calls from.
The District employs 7 full-time Paramedics, 4 full-time EMT’s, 3 fulltime Dispatchers, and 2 fulltime office staff. The district also employs over 10 part-time Paramedics and EMT’s and 2 part-time dispatchers.
Andrew County Ambulance District does its own EMD dispatching of ambulance calls. When a 911 call comes into the sheriff’s office, they will transfer ambulance calls to the ambulance office. If needed, first responders are sent from one of 5 fire departments that currently have first responders in the county. The ambulance district is the 911 back-up PSAP for Andrew County.
